Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how E-Com Cabin Ltd ("E-Com Cabin", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal data when you use ecomcabin.com or contact us. We are committed to handling your information lawfully, transparently, and only for the purposes set out below.
Who we are
E-Com Cabin Ltd is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. We are a company registered in the United Kingdom and operate internationally. You can reach us about any privacy matter at [email protected].
Our company registration number and registered office address are held on the UK Companies House register and are available on request.
The information we collect
We only collect what we need to respond to you and run our services:
- Information you give us through our forms. When you request a free growth audit we collect your name, work email address, website or store URL, and, optionally, your primary sales channel and any message you choose to add. When you download a free resource we collect your name and work email address. Each form includes a consent checkbox you must tick before submitting.
- Information you give us when you contact us directly. If you email us, message us on WhatsApp, or book a call, we receive the contact details and the content of your message.
- Usage and device information. When you browse the site we collect standard analytics data such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and referring source, through Google Analytics 4. This helps us understand how the site is used and improve it.
We do not knowingly collect special category data (such as health or financial account details), and you should not send us any through our forms.
How we use your information, and our lawful bases
Under the UK GDPR we rely on the following lawful bases:
- Consent. When you submit a form and tick the consent box, we use your details to reply to your audit request or to send the resource you asked for. You can withdraw consent at any time.
- Legitimate interests. We use your information to respond to business inquiries, to provide and improve our services, to keep records, and to protect the site from misuse. We balance these interests against your rights.
- Legal obligation. We may process and retain certain information where the law requires it.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
Who we share it with
We share personal data only with trusted service providers who process it on our behalf, under contract and only on our instructions:
- Google. Our forms submit to a Google Workspace service that records your submission in Google Sheets and emails it to us. We also use Google Analytics for site analytics and a Google Calendar booking link for scheduling calls.
- Our hosting provider. The website is hosted on a third-party platform whose servers process standard request logs.
- Meta (WhatsApp). If you choose to contact us on WhatsApp, your message is processed by WhatsApp under its own terms.
We may also disclose information where required by law, to enforce our terms, or in connection with a business transfer.
International transfers
Some of our providers, and members of our team, are located outside the United Kingdom and the European Economic Area. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses to protect it.
Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics 4, which sets cookies to measure how visitors use the site. These analytics cookies are not strictly necessary for the site to work. You can control or block cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics using Google's browser add-on. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
How long we keep it
We keep audit and inquiry submissions for as long as needed to respond and to manage any resulting relationship, and routinely for up to 24 months after our last contact, after which we delete or anonymize them unless we are required to keep them longer. Analytics data is retained according to our Google Analytics configuration.
Your rights
Subject to the UK GDPR, you have the right to access your personal data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to our use of it, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, email [email protected] and we will respond within the time the law allows.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk. We would appreciate the chance to address your concern first.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including limiting access to those who need it. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
This site and our services are intended for businesses and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last revised, and material changes will be reflected here.
